Upcoming Commision
– Crichton Carbon Center and the Peatlands
connection projects
18/05/2021
I can announce that I have been commisioned by the Crichton Carbon Center to work with them on one of their sites as an artists on a micro-residency this summer. My role will be to produce work around a site that is about to undergo extensive peatland restoration as part of the Peatlands Connections projects.
In 18 months time this area of peatlands will have radically altered due to the planned restoration, and so my alternative mapping out of this space will document the sites historic peat damage and deterioration before these processes begin to be reversed.
I am incredibly excited to begin working with this incredible organisation and looking into the reversal of industrial actions on this site. More announcements due soon.

– Drawing workshop for Diving into The Hills
15/05/2023
I am very pleased to announce the two rescheduled workshops I am holding as part of Diving into the Hills. This workshop will draw on the use of an extended drawing practice within my own research, and how this imposed slowness leads to a heightened awareness of surroundings that could be use in reaction to the events that have lead us to our drastic climate situation.
Join me on either te 3rd or 10th of June for this short 1 hour workshop that will ask you to readjust the way you encounter place using drawing as a tool. All materials will be provided, but if you have a favourite drawing tool or wish to use your personal sketchbook you are most welcome.
Book via these eventbrite links for the 3rd of june and the 10th of june.
As the space is charity run there is a suggested donation of £2 to cover the workshop.

Diving Into the Hills
– Exhibition
19/04/2023
It is with extream excitment I can announce the opening of Diving into the Hills, a show curated by two wonderful upcoming curators, at Hypha Studios, Mayfair London.
I will be exhibiting some of the early developments of my work from my Residency in Pembrokeshire, along with research and carrying out a few workshops too!
“Diving into the Hills presents a series of works by young artists from different countries. These works present the artists’ sensitive perceptions of surroundings, and their observations, responses and explorations of this. In this exhibition, it is possible to see how the artist explores the connections between individuals, reconsiders the relationship between personal experience and landscape, collective memory and place in a context of disordered time and fractured territory.”
Keep an eye out for updates here and across social media. Private view 4th May, 6-9pm.

Coal seem residency
– Final weeks postponed until summer 2023
15/02/2023
Sadly due to an injury I have had to postpone the end of my residency until later this year. I have made a large amount of work but will return to complete my final plans to round off the on site project later in the summer.
Upcoming Residency
– More to be announced
29/12/2022
I will be starting a residency in mid January 2023 on a farm situated an old industrial coal mining site in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. This site is now largely woodland and farmland, but the trace of its industrial past can still be seen in the contours of the land and the trace of iron rich substance in rising groundwater that stains seasonal pools.
This is a place I have been looking at since 2019, and am very excited to now have the opportunity to begin a residency there. More details coming soon.
